I’ve been working like crazy to hurry along my latest art project for school. I won’t give away my idea yet, but here is my testing of colours.

Please don’t focus on the crappy eyes… they don’t look realistic at all. I was practicing using blue tones as the entire painting will be done with those. It is very simple and quickly done, but it gave me a better idea of what I am planning to do. The artwork will be based on Misguided Ghosts by Paramore, which is the text of the project. I don’t like Paramore at all, but I like the lyrics of this song as I feel it relates to how I’ve been feeling about things in my personal life. I’m going to try and not get all deep now xD
And my photography project is almost done. I’m so slow. The pictures are finished, but the display won’t be ready for another few weeks. My art teacher just put up the prints for the exhibition last week, but only by themselves.

My final silhouette photographs for my art project are above! I would love to hear your opinions, but please leave out negative ones. Usually I would appreciate criticism, but not today. I have run out of time to improve on these so I need to use them as they are. If I got neg feedback it would just make me feel bad about ending the project with these and I need to stay focused. But I have to admit I’m pretty pleased with my second project. It went much better than the first project on architecture, which I didn’t enjoy as much but it was a good base in learning about art styles and understanding art in general. Knowing everything I learned then helped me with the photography project too and the third, which I have begun last week.

I had my interview with the Futurewise lady today about my career choices. We settled on these three: Advertising Art Director, Film Director and Graphics Designer. I really want to go ahead with the Film career, but at least I can consider my options. I’ve thought about them anyhow. Well, I was thinking of studying in Toronto to become a graphics designer for an ad agency haha. But now there’s the VFS in Vancouver. I just generally want to study in Canada.
Oh! And I received a reply from actor, Scott Lowell, who I asked a question on his Q&A. I basically just told him I think he’s a great actor and if he had any advice on getting into the acting business and whether it’s a good idea to move to the States or not. (Although I did kind of changed my mind about the acting thing.) He gave me some good advice and was really nice. Not to mention, he thought I shouldn’t be so ambitious at my age and I should be sleeping in till 2pm every day with my mother bothering me in the morning (if only he knew…haha). But he was really nice! And the person who manages the site or Q&A section told me that he/she and Scott both looked at my website and really liked my photos and designs. Woo! haha, that made my day. I e-mailed him a few months ago and didn’t expect a reply so suddenly! Was really cool.
I think I’ve finished my final photos for my art project. For those who don’t know, I did silhouettes of a person (one of my friends modelled, but we’ve already attempted these pictures twice so these have to be the ones!) kind of trapped in a box. There’s not really a purpose, but I’m displaying the four photos in a box shape with a light to glow through the backgrounds (maybe) and displaying it life-size or near life-size. I’m already passed the deadline (damn swine flu) so I need to finish soon! But it looks promising. If anyone would like to see the finished product, let me know and I’ll try to get them uploaded at some point!
