Finished on The Hidden Persuaders

Friday, July 23rd, 2010

So I had to get up pretty early today to record the courtroom voice-over. It took half an hour to set up the camera equipment and then five minutes to actually record and I was done haha. Laura, who plays Debbie (I did the Chinese takeaway scene with her), just had to do a scream which pretty much deafened us. It was really funny haha. The guy doing boom’s – sorry, never actually caught his name – face was so shocked by the volume! They – him and the director/camera man, Wayne – had to stand ten feet back to record the scream. And let me tell you, it was LOUD. It’s for the scene when Debbie finds her fiance, Damon, dead in the bathtub. Lovely.

Anyway, I got home around 10am and can’t believe how early it is. I was so used to sleeping in… I have no idea what I’m gonna do today… maybe go for a run outside, rather than in the gym, since it’s so sunny. I’m trying to keep exercising regularly and I didn’t go yesterday so I better do something today. And I should probably learn some French. And maybe add a few pages more to my screenplay. And tear the wallpaper off my wall so I can paint it white. I’ve decided to use one wall of my room to display my photographs and build on my portfolio. Not that anyone will see it really haha.

Amnesty

Saturday, June 19th, 2010

So I’m trying to research and educate myself about Amnestry International, human rights and cases around the world by gathering articles and making up a folder. I feel so overwhelmed with how much there is to learn about, but I’m trying to organise it all so I can start planning on how to contribute.

Once I’m ready to start fundraising, I’ll plan those and possibly set up a website where contributions can be made from those who can’t make it. I’d also like to set up a website that supports amnesty, and maybe makes things more simpler for those who also want to start contributing but don’t know where to start, sort of like where I am at the moment hahaha.

I also have to revise for my last exam, although I’m thinking it wouldn’t make much difference if I don’t show up hah!

My First Art Exhibition

Saturday, May 8th, 2010

Well, technically. I finished displaying my GCSE art exhibition at school lol. I think it looks alright, but I didn’t have a lot of time to make it fancy or anything, but I don’t think that was a priority or anything. My photography sketchbook went missing though, which is really fucking annoying. It was by far the best out of the four and I was proud of all my photographs. Even though my art teacher says she can “appeal” and say I did the work, it’s disappointing that I won’t get to show it off. She’s still convinced it will show up though haha. Even if I don’t get to submit it, I’d still want it back one day…

Really nice sunsets lately and the weather has been good enough the past month to go to the beach regularly where I live. It’s awesome. I’m also really wanting to start photography again soon, like really getting into it. I’m developing a film at the moment, so hopefully it turns out well!

Has disaster struck?

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

So… slightly disaster with my art project and my teacher isn’t amused about me asking to drag it out to Monday. You’re not allowed. It had to be finished by yesterday. See the thing is… I didn’t order enough brick slips, so I ordered more, but they didn’t arrive on time. Would have helped if my mum had sent the money order off quicker. I would have done it myself, but I had school all week, so I couldn’t go to the post office. Whatever, it’s my own fault. I’m just going to ramble in my sketchbook about how I didn’t manage to do it in the ten hours, but it adds to the wrecked/old/vintage look lol. Sorted. I guess.

This weekend rocks. I went to the spa today, which wasn’t as fancy as I expected, but still absolutely awesome. And tomorrow I’m going to (big city which I won’t name incase of stalkers or perves lol) to go shopping and I’m visiting the American Apparel store and also the Alexander Wang store! I love his stuff and I’ve heard they’re really comfy too… just a tad expensive. Not overly, but more than I would usually spend. I’m not sure if I blogged about him here, but I did over at ifuckfashion if you want to read about him. Not a hugely informative post, just a mention.

I wish I had a picture of my art project to upload here, but unfortunately they’re all on my school account. Maybe next week.

HAPPY APRIL FOOLS! I totally got my friends on FB by saying I was allowed a boob job for my birthday.

First of all, I want to “advertise” Alex Evans’ blog, because I absolutely love his new theme! I swear… everytime he has a new layout I want to steal it.

And one of my friends recently started a blog, so check it out:

Apart from that, not too much has been happening. I’m halfway through the first week of the holidays and really need to study a hella more for the GCSE exams coming up. I haven’t revised an awful lot and really really really need to! I really want to get mostly As and Bs, because in that pathetic sort of way, I want my parents to be proud of me. I’ve been off absent a lot this year (for various reasons), which has affected my grades and they seem to be convinced that I won’t even pass my GCSEs. Maybe that’s their trick of getting me to pay attention, but to be honest its just making me depressed as fuck and not helping a damn bit. I feel like everything is building up into this giant ball of anger in me and one day I’m not going to stop screaming. Man, I’m so full of hate/anger just now. Or rather the past three months. Which leads me to being completely unsocial, isolated, catching every fucking cold that’s going around and having the worst migraines every week. Peachy.

On a lighter note, I LOVE this guy. This is his newest video, but some of the others are even funnier so check them out. Especially the one where he’s in Texas, the caller one and some of the other newest. He’s so funny! And totally gorgeous.

Text Project

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

I’ve been working like crazy to hurry along my latest art project for school. I won’t give away my idea yet, but here is my testing of colours.

Please don’t focus on the crappy eyes… they don’t look realistic at all. I was practicing using blue tones as the entire painting will be done with those. It is very simple and quickly done, but it gave me a better idea of what I am planning to do. The artwork will be based on Misguided Ghosts by Paramore, which is the text of the project. I don’t like Paramore at all, but I like the lyrics of this song as I feel it relates to how I’ve been feeling about things in my personal life. I’m going to try and not get all deep now xD

And my photography project is almost done. I’m so slow. The pictures are finished, but the display won’t be ready for another few weeks. My art teacher just put up the prints for the exhibition last week, but only by themselves.

Exam Results

Friday, January 29th, 2010

are so annoying sometimes. I won’t go into huge detail but I will bring up one thing! There’s two English papers in the two different exams. I got an averaged A in English Literature which was awesome! Then the English Language I got an A* in one paper! I was raving! I’ve never gotten an A* ever and I really want a good English grade because of art/film/screenwriting aspirations. But the second paper… I’d apparently left out a question, which I either mis-read on what/how many you were supposed to do or wasn’t told to ignore the unstructions and it ended up being a D, even though I got a 28/30 and 23/30 on the questions I did do! One of the English teachers told me my answers were brilliant but because I’d forgotten one… I think this is where I use my brother’s annoying “facepalm” word. At least it only averaged up to a B, but man! I HAD AN A FUCKING *!

It’s only the mocks… but I wanted to use them as predicted grades for part-time jobs and applying to schools. So would it be wrong of me to put A* instead of the B on my CV? Since I know I can get it and would have if I’d done the question!

Hi Patrick!

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

I didn’t actually realise anyone from school read this. Not that it bothers me. Hell, it’s not like I’m writing on here like it’s a fucking diary. Anyway… nothing to rant about really. I’m bloody exhausted -_- I managed to get quite a bit done in Art today, so that’s good. I still need to fill my sketchbook up with painting technique tests that I’ve left blanks for O.O I don’t know WHY I ever did that, because now I HAVE to fill them in! But I have my project idea, which we have to start next Monday. We only have four weeks left, before the control test which I’m looking forward to but also kinda dreading. Hopefully it’s something GOOD. The only hard thing is that when it comes to the actual TEST (after the few weeks of preparing it) we can’t ask for advice from the teacher. Which actually is no problem for me, because I never do that anyway. I’m stubborn, hate being told what to do and never believe anyone except myself. I’m real trustworthy (: lol

I might upload a painting I did of my idea later on to dA. It’s just a test to see how it looks and how I’m going to paint it. At the moment I’m planning to use transfer solution to put the reflections in the eyes separately as I don’t know how I’d paint them, especially with only blue tones xD

So pretty dull blog entry, I just like keeping up to date. Any interesting stories?

My GCSE Photography Project

Friday, November 6th, 2009

My final silhouette photographs for my art project are above! I would love to hear your opinions, but please leave out negative ones. Usually I would appreciate criticism, but not today. I have run out of time to improve on these so I need to use them as they are. If I got neg feedback it would just make me feel bad about ending the project with these and I need to stay focused. But I have to admit I’m pretty pleased with my second project. It went much better than the first project on architecture, which I didn’t enjoy as much but it was a good base in learning about art styles and understanding art in general. Knowing everything I learned then helped me with the photography project too and the third, which I have begun last week.
